Memory Lab Technical Specifications

When you’re ready to start converting, just send us an email or give us a call to reserve up to three hours of conversion time per day.

A USB cassette tape player is available for 3-hour checkout at the Reference Desk, and the Memory Lab is equipped with Audacity Audio Editor for conversion to most digital audio formats. Configuration settings are provided in the Memory Lab Guide.

A USB CD/DVD Writer is available for 3-hour checkout at the Reference Desk. The Memory Lab is equipped with VLC Media Player for playback of most common codecs.

Our Wolverine Film2Digital MovieMaker converts 8mm or Super 8 film into 720p MP4 video. It is available for 3-hour checkout at the Reference Desk.

A 3.5″ USB floppy disk drive is available for 3-hour checkout at the Reference Desk.

The Memory Lab is equipped with an Epson V600 Photo Scanner for conversion of film photographs, slides, and negatives. Additional accessories are available at the Reference Desk.

Our Memory Lab is equipped with Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements for basic photo and video editing.

Vinyl records may be converted to most digital audio formats using the Memory Lab’s record player and Audacity Audio Editor. Configuration settings are provided in the Memory Lab Guide.

VHS tapes may be converted to MP4 video using the Memory Lab’s VCR and VidBox Video Conversion. Configuration settings are provided in the Memory Lab Guide.
