Reproductive Justice: An Introduction to Fake Abortion Clinics

Join Brookline Abortion Access Collective in exploring what Anti-Abortion Centers (also known as “Crisis Pregnancy Centers” or “Fake Abortion Clinics”) are and what harms they pose to public health. These centers present themselves as unbiased resources for pregnant people, but they actually aim to push people away from accessing abortion care and sometimes even some contraceptive options.

In this introductory workshop, we will cover how these Anti-Abortion Centers outnumber real abortion clinics 3:1, what strategies they commonly employ to push pregnant people away from getting an abortion, and how “Your Options” – an anti-abortion center in Brookline affects our town. After covering the foundation of these centers, we’ll close out the night with some actions to take to continue to apply pressure on these centers — through petitions and contacting your local legislators.

Come join us for an evening of learning, light refreshments and appetizers, and community building. We can’t wait to see you there!

About Brookline Abortion Access:

We are a collective of Brookline residents passionate about raising awareness about the harms of Anti-Abortion Centers/Crisis Pregnancy Centers. We are hoping to create legislation to restrict the operations of Anti-Abortion Centers in our town, and ideally ban them.
