Leapfrogs: 3rd and 4th Grade Book Club (Spring Session)

If you’re hoppy and you know it, read a book! Our Leapfrogs book club is for 3rd and 4th graders. The group meets for 45 minutes twice a month on Tuesdays (with only one meeting in September) from 3:45 to 4:30 in the Rabbit Hole on the ground floor of the Brookline Village Library. Each meeting will include a discussion of the book and an activity. 

Our meeting dates for the spring are: April 11, April 25, May 9, May 23, and June 6

Books for meetings will be available for pickup at least two weeks in advance of each meeting at the Children’s Desk. When you pick up your book, you’ll receive a bookmark with prompts that you can fill out while you read to help you come to the meeting ready to discuss!

Our books are:

• April 25: Packing for Mars for Kids by Mary Roach
• May 9: Inside Out and Back Again by Thanhha Lai
• May 23: TBD
• June 6: TBD

This program requires registration and has limited capacity. Please visit Eventbrite to register. By registering on Eventbrite, you are registering for all 5 sessions. If registration fills, there will be a waitlist.  Registration begins on Monday, March 13 at 6 PM

At this time, we ask that you only register your child for one book club so that more children have the chance to participate. 

Registering for this program indicates a commitment to attend the book club meetings. Please do not register for this program if your child will miss more than one meeting. If your child misses a second club meeting, their spot may be given to the next person on the waiting list. We understand that illness and emergencies occur – if an absence due to unforeseen circumstances is communicated to staff, it will not be considered a no-show.
